Most people cannot stand to look through a raw data dump of information. That is where a data analyst comes in. A data analyst can write reports in Excel or Access that digs through the data in the background and then simply show the interesting (or terrifying) results of the raw data. I can help you do that. The largest data dump I analyzed was over 60,000 lines of data from a prominent parcel carrier. I had to compare it with a similar file from the company I worked for at the time. The two files were similar, but the similar information was in different columns in each file. By generating a concatenating column of information in each of the different files, I was able to analyze why the carrier was charging more on the actual bill than what they quoted in the initial billing. The main cause of the difference in billing was that they added a charge for every time the recipient of the product was not home at the time of delivery. There were other charges for extra fuel usage etc. My company was able to retrieve 10's of thousands of dollars from the carrier with the proof I found. If you can love doing data analysis, there is good money to be made. Loyd Davey Jolly
